Raipur SP Prashant Agarwal told that Kalicharan Maharaj was living in a rented house near Bageshwar Dham, 25 km from Khajuraho in Madhya Pradesh. Raipur Police arrested him at 4 am today. The police team will reach Raipur with the accused till late evening.
Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra has objected to the arrest of Kalicharan, he said that we have an objection to the arrest of Kalicharan, the federal rule does not allow this at all. It is wrong to arrest without informing the Madhya Pradesh Police. I have given instructions to the DGP of Madhya Pradesh to talk to the Chhattisgarh DGP about this.
