Justin Bieber’s Team Denies Million-Dollar Debt Rumors, Calls Claims ‘Clearly Ill-Informed’

Justin Bieber’s Team Denies Million-Dollar Debt Rumors: The statement made by Justin Bieber's team on the article of The Hollywood Reporter released on Wednesday, April 16.

“This is just clickbait stupidity based on unnamed — and clearly ill-informed — ‘sources,’ disappointed that they no longer work with Justin,” the statement read. “As Justin forges his own way forward, these unnecessary stories and inaccurate assumptions will continue. But they won’t deter him from staying committed to following the right path.”

Justin Bieber's team reportedly denied the claims that the singer has multi-million debts following the cancelation of his Justice World Tour which was supposed to happen in 2023.

“Any source that is trying to sell you a story about alleged financial distress … either doesn’t understand the entertainment industry or, more likely, is trying to paint an unflattering portrait of Justin, which bears no resemblance to reality,” Bieber’s team told The Hollywood Reporter in a statement published on Wednesday, April 16.

The statement is contained in THR's new article using Bieber as the subject, captioned "Justin Bieber's crisis of faith?"

That is the way it was alleged that it was announced by Bieber in February 2023, when he canceled the rest of the dates in his Justice World Tour: "triggered a series of financial consequences that still plague the artist to this day." (Bieber, 31, canceled the tour due to ongoing health problems.)

THR further alleged that Bieber owned a "huge debt" to tour promoter AEG—around $20 million, according to insiders. (The article claimed that Bieber was given a $40 million advance for the tour.)

"To date, Bieber has returned only a small amount of the money he borrowed," THR alleged, noting that several sources have claimed that the singer is "overstretched" financially, especially with the ownership of six homes.

In January 2023, Bieber sold his complete catalog of music for $200 million, including all his publishing and recorded rights, master's and the total back catalog, containing an estimated 290 titles released before 2022. (There has been a widespread report about the sale to Hipgnosis Songs Capital by Bieber.)

The initial deal was said to be around $140 million, but it seems Bieber's past managers, including his ex-manager Scooter Braun, were able to push the price up, as claimed by THR. The profile suggested that the deal was enticing for the singer for "financial security" over a long time.

This profile has surfaced at a time when there was a lot of publicity about the singer. In turn, after Justin appeared to unfollow his wife, Hailey Bieber, on Instagram in January, fans began buzzing and making speculations, which word-of-mouth confusion created. He has since set the record straight.

In a statement issued to TMZ in February, a rep for Justin cleared the air regarding "absolutely not true" rumors of alleged drug use. The statement further categorized speculation as "exhausting and pitiful," adding that the ongoing conversation about the pop star "shows that despite the obvious truth, people are committed to keeping negative, salacious, harmful narratives alive."

The February rep statement continued that Justin "ended several close friendships and business relationships that no longer served him," noting that the past year has been "very transformative" for the singer.
