Joshimath News: Two hotels of Joshimath will be demolished today, NDRF reached.

The process of safely demolishing two hotels, Malari Inn and Mount View, which have been completely banned due to landslides in Joshimath, has been started from today. For this, the NDRF team has reached the spot. The people around are being removed by announcing by the team. The team of Central Building Research Institute (CBRI), Nehru Mountaineering Institute (NIM), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and Public Works Department (PWD) has been given the responsibility of technical demolition.

On Monday evening, the CBRI scientist along with the administration did a spot-inspection of both the hotels. After all the team members arrived on Tuesday, a strategy was chalked out for the demolition. Hotel Malari Inn and Mount View located in Singhdhar Ward of Joshimath had started showing cracks from the month of December itself. At the end of December, the administration had ordered the closure of the hotel.

District Magistrate Himanshu Khurana said that all preparations have been completed regarding the demolition of the hotels.

Hotels have also been inspected along with CBRI's scientist. Along with this, the entire system of machines along with laborers is also in order. After the arrival of all the team members on Tuesday, a strategy was chalked out for the demolition in a safe manner.
