Jharkhand: Fire in Dhanbad's nursing home kills five including two doctors
According to the official, the fire broke out at around 2 am in the store room of the nursing home located in Bank Mod area of Dhanbad, about 170 km from Ranchi. Dhanbad Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Prem Kumar Tiwari told 'PTI-Bhasha', "At least five people, including the owner of the nursing home and his wife, died of suffocation after the fire broke out in the store room.

A painful accident took place in Jharkhand's Dhanbad late on Friday night due to fire in a private nursing home. At least five people, including two doctors, died in a fire at a private nursing home. Giving information about the accident, an official said that the deceased include the owner of the medical establishment Dr. Vikas Hazra, his wife Dr. Prema Hazra, the owner's nephew Sohan Khamari and domestic help Tara Devi.

One person has also been injured due to fire in a private nursing home. However, the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. At present, further investigation is going on in connection with this incident.” According to Dhanbad Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Prem Tiwari, four of the dead have been identified, while the identity of the fifth is yet to be ascertained.
