The third leg of JEE Main 2021 examinations were set to take place between April 27thto April 30th. In February and March, the examination was successfully carried out. Later, at least 15 days before the exam, the revised dates for the JEE (Main) 2021 April session will be announced.
The NTA statement said, "The revised dates will be announced later on and at least 15 days before the examination."
Education Minister Dr Ramesh PokhriyalNishank tweeted about the update, “I would like to reiterate that safety of our students & their academic career are @EduMinOfIndia’s and my prime concerns right now.”
Every JEE Main aspirant appearing for the examination will be required to fill out a self-declaration form, which will be released by the agency along with the admit card. The aim of the undertaking/self-declaration form is to ensure that students who are taking the exam have not had any signs of cough, fever, breathlessness, sore throat/runny nose, or body ache in the previous 14 days.
The decision to postpone the JEE(Main) exams comes with education boards such CBSE, CISCE and other state boards postponing their examinations as well, in view of the steep rise in Covid-19 cases in the country.
