Jammu & Kashmir Exit Poll 2024: The Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections, the first since Article 370 was scrapped, were held in three phases. NC-Congress is projected to get a majority in 90-member Jammu and Kashmir Assembly, according to C-Voter-India Today survey. The survey says 40-48 seats for the alliance and 27-32 for BJP.Dainik Bhaskar says the alliance will get 35-40 seats and BJP 20-25 in Jammu and Kashmir.Peoples’ Pulse says NC-Congress will get 46-50 seats and BJP 23-27.

Republic-Gulistan estimates lower tally for NC-Congress at 31-36 and BJP 28-30.Various polls say PDP will get 5-12 seats and others 4-16 seats in the Assembly. The results will be out on October 8.

Kavinder Gupta, former Deputy CM of J&K and BJP leader, said the projected lead of NC-Congress alliance in Jammu and Kashmir in exit polls is not correct. He is confident that BJP will be the single largest party once results are out. “It is only in Exit polls that Congress-NC has got these seats, but BJP will be the biggest party once correct results are out.”

Gupta added that BJP is expecting more than 35 seats in Jammu and remaining from Kashmir. He said BJP will be in better position in Kashmir and talks are on with like-minded parties to form alliances.

Tarun Chugh, BJP General Secretary and J&K in charge, agreed with Gupta, “Actual results will be more in favour of BJP than what exit polls are showing. We will form full majority government in both Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir.”

Omar Abdullah, NC leader, said exit polls are nothing. Only numbers on October 8 will matter.

"I'm amazed channels are bothering with exit polls especially after the fiasco of the recent general elections. I'm ignoring all the noise on channels, social media, WhatsApp Etc because the only numbers that matter will be revealed on the 8th of Oct. The rest is just time pass," Abdullah posted on X.

Congress leader Tariq Anwar says, "There was a possibility of Congress alliance to gain seats and government will be formed. The number of seats that are being shown now I am sure that Congress-NC will get more number of seats."

On assembly election results, J&K BJP president Ravinder Raina says, "I am confident that BJP will emerge as the single largest party in Jammu & Kashmir on 8th October. J&K's next government will be of BJP."
