Jammu & Kashmir: Bihar street vendor, UP worker killed in consecutive terrorist attacks in Srinagar, Pulwama
The first incident occurred in the Eidgah area of Srinagar around 6:40 p.m. Saturday night, when suspected terrorists opened fire on 36-year-old Arvind Kumar.

A 36-year-old man from Bihar and another from Uttar Pradesh were killed on Saturday in two consecutive terrorist attacks in Srinagar and Pulwama in JandK.
The first incident occurred in the Eidgah area of Srinagar around 6:40 p.m. Saturday night, when suspected terrorists opened fire on 36-year-old Arvind Kumar. This is the same area where another street vendor, Virendra Paswan, was killed by terrorists earlier this month. Following the attack, Kumar was admitted to Government Medical College Srinagar (SMHS) where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.
After the attack, Kumar was rushed to Government Medical College Srinagar (SMHS) where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.
Arvind Kumar was originally from Banka in Bihar and worked in Srinagar as a street vendor. Kumar's father told reporters he migrated to JandK in search of a life three months ago. Reacting to the attack, former JandK Prime Minister Omar Abdullah said in a tweet: “He strongly condemns the murder of street vendor Arvind Kumar in a terrorist attack in Srinagar today. This is another civilian case caught aiming this way.
The second attack took place in the Pulwama litter, where suspected terrorists opened fire on a certain Sagir Ahmad. A resident of Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh who worked in Pulwama in JandK as a carpenter, Ahmad was seriously injured in the attack and died from injuries sustained at a local hospital. Reacting to the attacks, former JandK Prime Minister Mehbooba Mufti said in a tweet: “An innocent civilian returning home to his wife and children, a non-local peddler who earns his living or his troops in Poonch . None of these people deserved to die. "One wonders what it will take for the Indian government to realize that its policies have been a monumental failure in JandK and at what cost," asked the leader of the PDP. JandK LG Manoj Sinha issued a statement strongly condemning the brutal killings of Arvind Kumar Shah and Sagir Ahmad by terrorists.
