Jammu and Kashmir News : Kashmiri Pandits started running away from Kashmir,

After at least 8 incidents of target killings and protests in the past few weeks, Kashmir is under the shadow of fear. The most recent of these attacks is on Thursday, June 2, when a Hindu bank manager in Budgam and a migrant laborer were shot dead in Kulgam.

According to the Deccan Herald, there are about 4,000 migrant workers in Target Killing, who have been resettled under the Pradhan Mantri Yojana and are posted in district or municipal areas. The Jammu and Kashmir administration is now grappling with protests from Kashmiri Hindu employees due to the increase in target killings. The protesters are demanding his transfer from the Kashmir Valley.

On Thursday, a protester sitting in a protest in Srinagar condemned the situation and said, "Kashmir Valley belongs not only to Kashmiris, but to Kashmiri Pandits as well. But Hindus are now fleeing from here because they don't feel safe. What is the administration doing apart from making hollow promises? We want the government to support Pandits , provide security."

Protests in Kashmir have been going on since May 12, when several people, including government officials and employees, turned migrant colonies into protest sites in Anantnag district. Minority communities of the area had appealed to the governor to ensure that Kashmiri Pandits remain safe in the valley.

On Thursday, Sanjay Tikku, president of the Kashmiri Pandit Sangharsh Samiti, said that since Wednesday, about 165 Kashmiri Pandits have left the valley. Tikku said, "It is insecurity that is leaving them. The government says everything is fine, but the situation in Kashmir is going back to the 90s."
