On the India-China issue, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said that we have maintained our stand that if China disturbs peace in the border areas, it will affect our relations. Our relations are not normal, they cannot be normal because the boundary conditions are not normal.
Jaishankar said that India has consistently stood by its stand that if China disturbs peace or violates the rules in the border areas, then it will affect the relationship between the two countries. Jaishankar said that we have had 15 rounds of talks at the commander level. Many important decisions have been taken by both the sides regarding the withdrawal from those places. We have started implementing them as well.
He said there are still some places where they haven't turned back. However, we continue to stand by the stand that if China disturbs peace in the border areas, it will affect relations. Jaishankar was responding to a question related to the tension in relations with China after the skirmish in Ladakh two years ago.
