Jahangirpuri Riots : Delhi Police interrogates relatives of main accused Ansar in Bengal
A three-member team of Crime Branch of Delhi Police is in Bengal for several days and is gathering information by interrogating the relatives and close relatives of the accused.

The Delhi Police team questioned the maternal uncle and other relatives of the main accused Ansar, a resident of Haldia in East Medinipur district of West Bengal in the Jahangirpuri violence case. A member of the investigation team gave this information. Anwar Ali, the maternal uncle of the main accused, said during interrogation that Ansar is a very good person. Ali said, whenever Ansar comes to his house here, he meets and greets everyone with love. He told ' I came to know what happened in Jahangirpuri Delhi through TV. It didn't go well, but he Ansar is a good person. The investigation team from East Medinipur district on Friday went to Diamond Harbor police station in South 24 Parganas district for further investigation.
The relations of many accused involved in this violence are being told from Bengal. During the Hanuman Jayanti procession in North West Delhi's Jahangirpuri recently, there was a fierce clash and stone pelting incident between two communities. The procession was pelted with stones by miscreants, after which violence broke out. Several policemen were also injured in this violence.
