Jahangirpuri Riots : 9 arrested so far in Jahangirpuri violence case, police investigation continues

DCP North West Usha Rangnani said that the investigation is going on in this matter. At the same time, eight policemen have been injured in the attack on Saturday and are being treated in the hospital.

Jahangirpuri Riots : 9 arrested so far in Jahangirpuri violence case, police investigation continues

In the Jahangirpuri violence case, the police have arrested 9 accused so far. DCP North West Usha Rangnani said that the investigation is going on in this matter. At the same time, eight policemen have been injured in the attack on Saturday and are being treated in the hospital.

After the Jahangirpuri violence, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has alleged that the Congress and other opposition parties want to disturb social harmony by doing 'vulture politics' over dead bodies. BJP has made its point after the joint statement of the opposition on the recent incidents of hate speech and communal violence in the country.

Of the 7 injured in the Jahangirpuri violence case, 6 are policemen and a civilian. The rest have got minor injuries. The police have registered a case under serious sections like rioting, attempt to murder and Arms Act. Some people have been identified from CCTV footage and videos. Efforts are being made to arrest them.

The investigation report of the violence in Jahangirpuri will also be submitted to the MHA. Delhi Police has registered a case under the Arms Act, Rights and attempt to murder. In which a case has been registered under many sections including rioting, obstructing government work, damage to properties. The statements of the injured policemen are being taken in the case. On the basis of their statements, preparations are being made to identify the accused.
