Israel Launches Fresh Strikes on Tehran After Khamenei’s Defiant Address

Strong explosions were reported in east Tehran on Wednesday on the sixth day of the war between enemies Iran and Israel, according to AFP.

A military statement from Israel claimed responsibility for the blasts, saying that it was striking military targets in Tehran.
“The IAF is currently striking military targets belonging to the Iranian Regime in Tehran,” wrote on X.
The new strikes came just hours after Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, resisted US President Donald Trump's expected unsolicited demand for Iran's complete unconditional surrender.

In a record television appearance—the first time he had spoken publicly since June 13—the 86-year-old Khamenei said that the Americans, "should know that any U.S. military intervention will undoubtedly be accompanied by irreparable damage."
"Intelligent people who know Iran, the Iranian nation and its history will never speak to this nation in threatening language because the Iranian nation will not surrender," he said.
Khamenei, also said that Israel has "made a huge mistake" by attacking Iran and will be "punished" and opposed any "imposed peace," saying he was not considering taking part in any attempts by the US or Israel to force Iran to accept a ceasefire, as reported by Bloomberg.
