Iran-Israel War Live: President Donald Trump on Sunday said that the US had "nothing to do" with the overnight attack on Iran, hours after Israel claimed an "extensive series of strikes" on the headquarters of the Iranian Defence Ministry and a nuclear project.
President Trump also warned Iran that the "full strength and might" of the American Armed Forces will "come down on you at levels never seen before" if it tries to attack the US
"The US had nothing to do with the attack on Iran tonight. If we are attacked in any way, shape or form by Iran, the full strength and might of the US Armed Forces will come down on you at levels never seen before," he posted on Truth Social.
He added, “However, we can easily get a deal done between Iran and Israel, and end this bloody conflict.”
Overnight Iranian strikes on Israel killed at least eight people, including children, and triggered widespread panic as air raid sirens forced millions to take shelter, AFP reported. In the central part of the country, a rocket strike claimed the lives of at least four individuals — among them a 10-year-old boy — and left around 100 others injured, according to a spokesperson from Magen David Adom (MDA)

Iran fired a new wave of missiles at Israel early Sunday, as both countries engaged in intensified cross-border attacks for the third straight day. Iranian state television announced the development at around 03:10 am (2340 GMT Saturday), stating, "A new wave of Operation Honest Promise 3 began a few minutes ago," while broadcasting live footage from Israel. The strikes mark a continued escalation in hostilities that began with Israel’s surprise offensive.
Iran’s elite Revolutionary Guards confirmed the strikes, stating that they hit facilities used by Israeli fighter jets for refuelling and energy infrastructure. The statement said, "Installations producing fuel for fighter planes and the (Israeli) regime's energy supply centres were targeted by a multitude of drones and missiles." The Guards also warned that Iran's military response would grow "more fiercely and more broadly if the depravity and attacks (against Iran) continue." The message underscored Tehran’s intent to sustain and intensify its offensive if Israel’s strikes persist.

A round of US-Iran nuclear talks that was due to be held in Oman on Sunday was cancelled. President Trump on Friday urged Tehran to reach a deal with the US on its nuclear program, adding that "Iran must make a deal, before there is nothing left."
The Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) early Sunday said it completed an "extensive series of strikes on targets in Tehran related to the Iranian regime's nuclear weapons project".
The targets included the headquarters of the Iranian Ministry of Defence and the SPND nuclear project, it said in a post on X. The IDF said it also struck the place where Iran "hid its nuclear archive".
Air raid sirens were also sounded across Jerusalem and Tel Aviv after Iran launched a new wave of attacks. Iran's Revolutionary Guards said Iranian missiles and drones targeted Israel's energy infrastructure and facilities for fighter jet fuel production.
Donald Trump weighed in on the escalating situation, warning Iran of harsher consequences if it continues its actions. However, he also left the door open for diplomacy, saying it wasn’t too late to halt Israel’s military campaign – provided Iran agreed to significantly curtail its nuclear programme. The cancellation of the nuclear talks in Oman, however, complicates prospects for immediate diplomatic engagement.
