The two teams languishing at the bottom of the points table - Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals - will square off against each other on Tuesday night at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. CSK will be playing their first match since the IPL resumed and would be buzzing to get back on track against Rajasthan Royals, who suffered defeat against Punjab Kings at home on Sunday. This is going to be the last match of the season for the Royals, who have performed lacklustre the entire season, especially in terms of finishing the games.
They had many close losses in the last over after coming up short in their target. They really missed Sanju Samson for the most part of the season, too, as Riyan Parag did not look like he was ready for the big captaincy position.
On the other hand, 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi's debut was one of the few bright spots for Rajasthan this year. The left-handed batter made history with a 35-ball century and continued with his aggressive batting style in his next couple of games. In their last outing against PBKS, he scored a flashy 40, but one again his team failed to close the match.
Conversely, the Chennai Super Kings leant too heavily on familiar, veteran players and paid the price for the limitations of a conventional playbook. The team clearly envisioned huge things for Rahul Tripathy and Deepak Hooda and put faith in them as international players. Certainly, that kind of profile may get them on the roster, but it has proven precarious in providing consistency when it is needed.
The rebuilding phase has begun with the introduction of youth in the way of Ayush Mhatre, Shaik Rasheed, and Urvil Patel. The 20-year-old Mhatre almost hit a century against RCB and was able to contribute solidly against SRH and MI.

The weather in Delhi today does not include any rain in the forecast. The only weather change is that it will become warmer as both teams would want to bowl first after winning the toss.
