The Central Government has formed a high level committee to investigate the helicopter crash of CDS General Bipin Rawat. Former army officers and many leaders are also raising questions about the accident. Senior BJP leader and MP Subramanian Swamy has questioned the investigation and said that the matter should be investigated by a Supreme Court judge. Only then the truth will come out. Dainik Bhaskar reporter Ravi Yadav spoke to Subramanian Swamy about this.
I am not asking any questions. I am saying that a senior army officer died in a helicopter crash and that too when the incident happened in his own country. Rawat was going to a government function. The staff operating that helicopter was from the military. That's why I say that there should be no pressure on the military. It should not happen that the facts which are there should be suppressed or the grounds which are there, they should be curtailed. For this investigation there should be a person who is not from the army and not under the government, he is only a judge of the Supreme Court.
When US President John F. Kennedy was assassinated, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court there was entrusted with the investigation. It was called the Warren Commission. I say that there should be such people for investigation, on whom there should be no pressure. I agree that most of the judges in the Supreme Court are such that no one can shake them.
