International Civil Aviation Organization report: India ranks 48th in aviation safety ranking
On Saturday, DGCA chief Arun Kumar told PTI that the regulator has worked tirelessly to upgrade India's safety ranking and the results are out. He said that the country's score has improved to 85.49 per cent in terms of effective implementation of security elements.

India has moved up to 48th position in the global aviation safety ranking by the International Civil Aviation Organisation. Four years ago the country was ranked 102nd. Officials said Singapore topped the ranking. UAE is in second place and South Korea is in third. The ICAO Coordinated Validation mission was carried out from 9 to 16 November as part of the continuous monitoring approach of its Universal Safety Oversight audit programme.
