Inside ‘Ananta’: Google’s Massive New Bengaluru Campus, One of Its Largest Worldwide

Inside ‘Ananta’: On Wednesday, Google unveiled the construction of a new campus in Bengaluru called Ananta.
From this campus, which will make it the fourth campus of the search engine giant, and among the largest offices worldwide, the employees really feel the presence of Google.

"The office in Mahadevapura, an eastern suburb of Bengaluru, represents a major milestone in Google's commitment to India," has said the company, which has invested billions of dollars in India.
According to a Moneycontrol report, "Ananta" means limitless in Sanskrit and is a mammoth structure covering 1.6 million square feet and has a capacity of more than 5,000 employees.
It will accommodate various teams such as one from Android, Search, Pay, Cloud, Maps, Play, and Deepmind, among others.
The office will provide workspaces that allow collaboration while also giving the "freedom to focus within smaller nooks and booths." It has a central gathering space, called Sabha, and it has tactile flooring which aids navigation for the visually impaired.
Some of the unique features of this campus include, as claimed by Google, one of the largest in India, electro-chromic glass for facade, walking paths and jogging paths, on-site rainwater harvesting, and recycled wastewater.
This has a vast gathering space at the centre of the building called Sabha, for community and conversation.
With over 10,000 employees in India, it is one of the largest employee bases outside the US for Google and has the largest customer base for its products in India.
