India's Nishad Kumar Jumps High To Win Silver Medal In Paralympics

New Delhi: India's Nishad Kumar has won a Silver medal for the country in the men's High Jump T46/47 category of the Tokyo Paralympics. This is India's second medal of the day, as in the morning Paddler Bhavina Ben Patel has won a Silver medal in the women's Table Tennis event.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Nishad. PM tweeted, "More joyful news comes from Tokyo! Absolutely delighted that Nishad Kumar wins the Silver medal in Men’s High Jump T47. He is a remarkable athlete with outstanding skills and tenacity. Congratulations to him. #Paralympics"
