India’s first Female RO Technician, Bhavya Sharma from Bengaluru

Bhavya Sharma wanted to put food on the family’s table and take good care of her daughter, who lives without her father. She decided to choose a path that no other woman in India has taken so far. Today she is India’s first female RO Technician and is working with home services company Urban Company. She took this step earlier this year following the death of her husband Virender Sharma who died in 2021 march due to an accident.

Sharma used to work as a senior RO technician with Urban Company was the sole breadwinner of the family and his death left them in a state of shock emotionally and financially. But she was not ready to live a life depending on anyone else. So she reached out to UC, which accepted her full-heartedly. She was not from a technical background and learned the basics of RO repair from her husband.
