India’s active tally drops below 26,000; reports 11 deaths in 24 hours

Covid-19 Update: India on Monday recorded fresh 1,839 Covid-19 cases, taking down the number of active infections to 25,178 in the last 24 hours, according to Union health Ministry. Total 11 deaths are recorded in last 24 hours, the data updated at 8 am on Monday said.

The daily positivity rate was recorded at 2.49% while the weekly positivity rate was pegged at 2.17%. The total tally of Covid cases is at 4.49 crore (4,49,56,716).

1,839 new cases in 24 hours

A decline is being seen in Covid cases in India. As compared to yesterday, a decline has been recorded in the daily cases. Today 1,839 new cases have been reported in the country. During this, 11 people have died. Earlier on Sunday, 2,380 new cases were reported in the country while 15 people died. In this way, a decline of 541 has been registered in the new daily case of Corona in the last 24 hours.

According to the data released by the Ministry of Health this morning (8 May 2023), 1,839 new cases, 11 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours. These include 9 people from Kerala. At the same time, 3,861 people in the country were recovered. The number of active cases has come down from 27,212 to 25,178. A decrease of 2,034 has been registered in the number of active cases in the last 24 hours.

The number of corona infected in the country is 4,49,71,469

With this, the total number of Covid cases has increased to 4 crore 49 lakh 71 thousand 469. While the number of people getting cured has increased to 4 crore 44 lakh 14 thousand 599. At the same time, a total of 5 lakh 31 thousand 674 people have died due to corona virus infection in the country.
