Virat Kohli dropped Jos Buttler when he was on 2, off Jasprit Bumrah and that seems to be proved very costly for India as he batted with determination to save England but towards the end, in the over no.52 of the innings, on the second bowl, Mohhamed Siraj forced Buttler to edge a short ball into the hands of wicket-keeper Pant and on the fifth ball, he bowled James Anderson to give India the glorious victory.

Both openers were back quite early, they could not even open their accounts. It was very rare that England openers failed so badly and were back to the dressing room in 10 balls and a total of two runs. Rory Burns was caught by Mohammed Siraj at short midwicket off Jasprit Bumrah on the third ball of the second innings. Mohammed Shami, full of confidence with an unbeaten half-century, came to bowl next over and his fourth ball kissed the bat of Dom Sibley and went into the hands of wicket-keeper pant.
