Indian Student Mohammed Arfath Found Dead in Ohio: The Indian consulate announced on Tuesday that Mohammed Abdul Arfath, an engineering student who went missing in Ohio, was found dead in Cleveland. As part of Mohammed Abdul Arfath's death investigation, the Indian consulate is offering all assistance to his family.
This is the 11th attack in 2024 involving Mohammed Abdul Arfath, the second in a week.
Angry to hear that Mohammed Abdul Arfath, whose search was underway in Cleveland, Ohio, was dead, the Indian Consulate General in New York said.

“Our deepest condolences to Mr Mohammed Arfath’s family. @IndiainNewYork is in touch with local agencies to ensure a thorough investigation into Mr Mohammed Abdul Arfath’s death. We are extending all possible assistance to the bereaved family to transport his mortal remains to India," it said.

What was the life of Mohammed Abdul Arfath?
Nacharam, Hyderabad-born Mohammed Abdul Arfath studied at Cleveland University for a Masters in Information Technology last year.
His mobile phone has been switched off since he last spoke with his father on March 7th. His roommates in the US have informed his father they filed a missing persons report with Cleveland Police.
An unidentified person called Mohammed Abdul Arfath's family on March 19. As a result of the kidnapping, the caller threatened to sell Mohammed Abdul Arfath's kidneys if the ransom wasn't paid. Arfath had been kidnapped by drug sellers who demanded USD 1,200 to "release" him.
As of April 9, the Consulate informed that the Indian student's body was found in Cleveland, US, after working with local law enforcement authorities.
