Indian corona vaccine is better than Pfizer and Moderna, claims SII CEO Adar Poonawalla

Corona vaccination is going on around the world to prevent corona infection. In this sequence, Adar Poonawalla, CEO of Serum Institute of India (SII) on Wednesday claimed that the corona vaccine developed in India is much better than other vaccines in the world. According to Poonawalla, the Indian corona vaccine has more potential to prevent infection than corona vaccines like Pfizer and Moderna.

During a conversation with ANI, the CEO of SII said, 'The corona vaccine developed in India provides far more protection than other Covid vaccines Pfizer and Moderna.' He also said, 'It is not good in India to have a vaccine like Pfizer or Moderna because in countries like America, people are getting infected despite having taken the second and third doses of the vaccine. At the same time, better immunity has developed in those who take our vaccine in India.

When asked about the export of Corona Vaccine Covishield, SII CEO Poonawalla said that till now India has exported the vaccine to 80 countries. He said, 'Till now we have sent consignments of Corona Vaccine Covishield to more than 80 countries with 100 million doses. Now with the reduction in cases, the demand for it has also come down. He also said that in some countries where vaccine was given, many people were hospitalized and cases of corona infection started being registered.
