The upcoming structure will have a 'chhatri' (dome) design for the roof and Locharbriggs sandstone pillars, matching the Kelvingrove architecture. The pillars would be carved to form South Asian designs, and cherry trees would be planted along with benches for people to sit and reflect. The memorial will represent the diversity of Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, Christians and Gurkhas who fought alongside British soldiers during World War I and II.
