Indian All-Rounder Stuart Terence Binny Announces Retirement From International And First Class Cricket
Stuart Terence Binny has taken 24 international wickets across formats and has also scored 459 runs. He still holds the record for the best ODI figures among India with 6/4 against Bangladesh. Binny’s first-class career spanned for almost two decades where has played 95 matches, scoring 4796 runs and picking up 148 wickets for Karnataka.
New Delhi: Former India All-Rounder Stuart Terence Binny has announced his retirement from International and First-class cricket. On the occasion of National Sports Day, Stuart wrote in a statement, “I would like to inform you that I have decided to retire from international and first-class cricket. It has given me tremendous joy and pride to have represented my country at the highest international level. I would like to acknowledge the huge role that the BCCI has played in my cricketing journey. Their faith and support over the years have been incredible. My cricketing journey would not even have started had it not been for the Karnataka state and their support. It has been an honour to captain and win trophies with my state."
He represented the Indian cricket team between 2014 to 2016 in Six Test, 14 One Day Internationals and three T20I matches. Like his father, Roger Binny, Stuart was a medium pace bowler and hard-hitting batsman.

He has also represented Royal Challengers Bangalore, Rajasthan Royals, and Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Overall, he has played 95 matches picking up 22 wickets and scoring 880 runs.
In the second innings of his career, Stuart Binny desires to give something back to cricket in the coming days.
“The game of cricket runs through my blood, and I will always back to give back to the game that has given me everything,” it added.
