India women vs Sri Lanka women T20 : Team India defeated Sri Lanka by 5 wickets
The Indian team took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series. Earlier, Team India had defeated the hosts by 34 runs in the first T20 match.

India's women's cricket team has once again shown its best performance. The women's cricket team defeated hosts Sri Lanka by 5 wickets in the second T20 match of the three-match series.
Sri Lanka won the toss and decided to bat first. Sri Lanka scored 125 for 7 on the back of 45 runs from opener Vishmi Gunaratne and 43 runs from captain Chamari Atapattu. Seven Sri Lankan batsmen could not even touch the double figure. For India, Deepti Sharma took two wickets while Radha Yadav, Pooja Vastrakar and Harmanpreet Kaur took one wicket each.
Indian women's cricket team opener Smriti Mandhana played a brilliant innings of 39 runs in Dambulla on Saturday. She faced 34 balls, in which she hit 8 fours. Mandhana has become the fifth Indian batperson (men and women) to score 2000 runs in T20 International cricket. Harmanpreet has broken the record of former Indian women's captain Mithali Raj. Harmanpreet has now become the highest run-scorer Indian woman cricketer in T20 International cricket. Harampreet now has 2372 runs in 123 matches, while Mithali had 2364 runs.
