India V England: India Emerges Victorious in the ODI Series, Defeats England by 2-1, Pant and Pandya steal spotlight

Owing to Hardik Pandya's all-round performance and Rishabh Pant's first ODI century, Team India defeated England by 5 wickets in the third ODI. With this, India won the 3-match series by 2-1. After 8 years, India defeated England in the ODI series at their home. In the third ODI, England, batting first after losing the toss, were all out for 259 runs in 45.5 overs. Hardik took four wickets. In reply, India achieved the target in 42.1 overs for the loss of 5 wickets. Pant remained unbeaten on 125 off 113 balls. Hardik Pandya scored 71 runs.

Chasing the challenging target, India did not start well. The team lost three wickets to the score of 38 runs and four wickets till the score of 72 runs. Shikhar Dhawan 1, captain Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli got out after scoring 17-17 runs. Suryakumar Yadav could also score only 16 runs. After this, Pant and Hardik added 133 runs in the fifth wicket partnership to put India on the winning track. When Hardik got out, India's score was 205 runs. After this, Pant gave the victory to Team India by showering fours.

Shikhar Dhawan once again could not do anything special. In the third over of the match, Reece Topley made him his victim. Dhawan could only score 1 run in 3 balls. Dhawan scored 31 runs in the first match of the series and 9 runs in the second match. After Dhawan's dismissal, Rohit Sharma also could not bat for long. He became the victim of Reece Topley after scoring 17 runs in 17 balls. Kohli got off to a good start once again and he had also scored 17 runs in 22 balls, but once again gave his wicket to Reece Topley in a familiar style.

Congratulations started pouring in after India emerged victorious in the series. Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar took to Twitter and wrote, "Congratulations to #TeamIndia on winning the ODI series. Keep up the good work and continue this form. Special mention to RishabhPant17 and Hardik Pandya for a wonderful performance.
