IND vs SA: Jasprit Bumrah out due to back pain, a big blow for India
India won the toss and decided to bowl first. Deepak Chahar and Ravichandran Ashwin have made it to the playing XI. Along with Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Hardik Pandya has also been rested. Rishabh Pant and Arshdeep Singh have made it to the team in place of Pandya and Bhuvi.
Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the first T20I against South Africa at Greenfield International Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram due to a suspected injury which can be termed as a major setback for India. It is learned that Bumrah complained of back pain during the practice session on Tuesday and was checked up by the BCCI medical team, following which he was ruled out of the first match against the Proteas.
The BCCI tweeted minutes after the toss in the first T20I that "Jasprit Bumrah complained of back pain during India's practice session on Tuesday. After which he was checked up by the medical team of BCCI.
