Increase in the prices of CNG : Taxi and auto drivers went on strike due to increase fares amid rising oil prices
Auto-taxi drivers are on strike over the hike in CNG prices and demanding subsidy on CNG from the ruling Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi.

After petrol and diesel, the huge increase in the prices of CNG has also broken the back of the middle class. Especially the earnings of auto and taxi drivers have been badly affected. The rise in CNG prices has put auto-taxi drivers in a bad phase, making it difficult for them to run their homes for their survival.
Auto-taxi drivers are on strike over the hike in CNG prices and demanding subsidy on CNG from the ruling Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi. Due to this people are facing problems since Monday morning. The number of people affected due to the auto-taxi strike is in lakhs, who are facing problems since Monday morning.
Rajendra Soni, general secretary of Delhi Auto Rickshaw Association, said that we know that the Delhi government is forming a committee but we need a solution to our problems. Our demand is that the government (Centre and Delhi) should provide subsidy of Rs 35 per kg on CNG prices. Hundreds of auto, taxi and cab drivers recently protested at the Delhi Secretariat demanding subsidy on CNG prices.
