Prime Minister Imran Khan has decided not to address the nation today. PTI Senator Faisal Javed Khan said Imran Khan's address scheduled for Wednesday has been postponed. On the other hand, Pakistan's Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry said on Tuesday that the Prime Minister of Pakistan will not resign from his post. On the other hand the opposition has claimed that they have the support of 175 members to topple the government.
Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) President Maulana Fazlur Rehman said on Wednesday that the opposition has got the support of 175 MPs. The opposition needs the support of only 172 members to pass a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan. However, the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has suffered another setback. PTI's ally Muttahida Quami Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) has severed ties with the ruling coalition.
