Imran Khan reached Rawalpindi to rally with a team of doctors
The Joint Investigation Team (JIT) probing the attack on Imran during the Haqiqi Azadi March in Wazirabad has stopped working after the suspension of its chief. "The JIT has stopped functioning after the Federal Services Tribunal cleared the government's decision to suspend Ghulam Mehmood Dogar.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party supremo and former Prime Minister Imran Khan reached Rawalpindi on Saturday for the first time after the attack in Wazirabad with a team of doctors and a relative to address a big rally. Meanwhile, the police have written to top PTI leaders asking them to implement security measures for Imran. Imran has been advised not to leave the vehicle and wear a bulletproof jacket before reaching the rally venue.
Imran had started the Hakiki Azadi March demanding early general elections in Pakistan. He was attacked during the march on November 3. Imran, who was injured by the bullet, had postponed the march. PTI leaders say that the Rawalpindi rally will be completely peaceful. On the other hand, the caravan of Imran's supporters had started marching towards Rawalpindi since morning. A large number of supporters have also reached Rawalpindi.

"The JIT has stopped functioning after the Federal Services Tribunal cleared the government's decision to suspend Ghulam Mehmood Dogar, the Lahore police chief and head of the investigation team," said a senior Punjab Police official.There is a tussle between Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the government of Punjab province over Dogar's appointment. Imran's PTI is in power in Punjab.
