Illegal Mining Case: ED notice to Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren, called for questioning tomorrow
The ED has also arrested Hemant Soren's Barhait MLA representative Pankaj Mishra in this case. Pankaj Mishra was arrested under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). Pankaj Mishra has serious allegations of money laundering of more than one thousand crore rupees.

The problems of Chief Minister Hemant Soren may increase in the illegal mining case in Jharkhand. In this case, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has sent a notice to Hemant Soren. Soren has been summoned to Ranchi office for questioning tomorrow i.e. on November 3. Sources in the news agency said that the ED will question Hemant Soren tomorrow in the illegal mining case.
On the other hand, the reaction of his party leader Manoj Pandey has come to the fore on the ED's notice to Hemant Soren. Manoj Pandey said that he will move the court against the notice. Can ED call CM? If so, the CM will respond after consulting legal experts. Is it legal to summon him to the CM for those charges? In many cases the PM should also be summoned. This is revenge politics.
Apart from Pankaj Mishra, Bacchu Yadav and Prem Prakash are also accused. ED also seized two AK-47 rifles after raiding the premises of Prem Prakash. In the illegal mining case, the ED has conducted raids at many places in the state.
Significantly, the ED has taken many actions in the last 6 months. In the action of ED, from MNREGA scam to illegal mining of 1000 crores, many influential people associated with politicians and bureaucrats got behind the bars. These include suspended IAS Pooja Singhal, her CA Suman Kumar, Chief Minister's Barhait assembly constituency MLA representative Pankaj Mishra, Pankaj Mishra's aide Bacchu Yadav, Prem Prakash, a close friend of politicians and bureaucrats, Kolkata-based businessman Amit Agarwal.
