Besides the conventional subjects, the curriculum offers exposure to Social Media Management and Digital Marketing, one of the most lucrative and employable courses in the present era. Other prominent subjects include Cyber Security and its Applications. The students will also receive exposure to Modern Manufacturing processes like 3-D Printing. The course has been designed to bridge the gap between college learning and industry-required skills.
Speaking about the Executive-MBA program Prof. G. Arun Kumar, Head of, Department of Management Studies, IIT Madras, said, “The stature of the EMBA program of the department has been steadily growing with the overwhelming support from the industry. The program leverages the Department’s fifty-year tradition of cutting-edge research and teaching, and is designed to be experiential in nature, by allowing participants to apply the course-learnings to their work.”
The curriculum entails the steps to ensure that industry-required steps are taken into consideration by the educational institutions. Recently, organizations and MNCs have started to complain that the graduates don't possess the skills of the 21st century and are bound by theoretical knowledge which does not serve its purpose. Hopefully, this course will bring light towards the end of the employability tunnel.
