IIT Delhi to organize 4th edition of Industry Day on December 10, 2022
The annual event will showcase the best of IIT Delhi's collaborative and interdisciplinary sharing through research presented. More than 70 cutting-edge technologies developed by the researchers of IIT Delhi will be showcased on the Industry Day. The event will also feature over 150 industry-relevant concept posters created by students of IIT Delhi.
Industry Day 2022, the flagship Industry-Academia partnership event of IIT Delhi, will be organized this time on December 10, 2022 (Saturday) from 8 AM to 6 PM. The fourth edition of the day-long event will provide an opportunity to see how IIT Delhi is working to develop technologies that will benefit both industry and society. Top leadership from more than 15 large corporate and business houses will be present at the event. Mr. K. Ananth Krishnan, Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, Tata Consultancy Services, who is also an IIT Delhi alumnus, will be the chief guest on the occasion.
The Industry Day will focus on four themes, which will reflect India's commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. Thematic sessions on Healthcare, Electric Vehicles, Communication Technology and Clean Energy, Environment will be attended by industry leaders, scientists, faculty, research scholars and students of IIT Delhi. These speakers will discuss fundamental concepts and new approaches. The annual event will showcase the best of IIT Delhi's collaborative and interdisciplinary sharing through research presented. More than 70 cutting-edge technologies developed by the researchers of IIT Delhi will be showcased on the Industry Day. Some examples of cutting-edge research on display include artificial intelligence-based portable devices for rapid diagnosis of epilepsy, extreme cold weather clothing for defense personnel, biomedical devices and tools to power healthcare systems, Electric vehicle power converters, hand exoskeleton for a person with paralysis, reusable syringes for waste water treatment, technologies for electric vehicles, etc. Talking about Industry Day 2022, Director, IIT Delhi, Prof. Rangan Banerjee said, “We are keen to enhance our relationship with industry and play a role in providing them with future-ready graduates as well as a competitive edge through our research. We welcome industry to explore opportunities to partner with IIT Delhi through the Industry Day. Professor Sunil Kumar Khare, Dean, Corporate Relations, and Research and Development, IIT Delhi said that the theme and technologies chosen for this year's Industry Day reflect the needs and attitudes of our internal and external research communities. It will give a boost to industry and academia. It will also create new opportunities and impacts for collaboration between various stakeholder communities.
