News 18 reported that the founder of Scuzo Ice 'O'Magic, Gagan Anand talks about how healthy ice cream options are influencing the summer dessert culture. He says that people are now looking for healthier ice cream or dessert options and ice cream companies to capture the market are providing healthier options to satisfy customers' needs and grow.

Now, Ice cream companies are adding ingredients such as chia seeds, almonds, and sometimes veggies for customers who want to have Ice cream but also prefer a healthy lifestyle. These healthier ice creams provide an option for customers who have many food restrictions such as lactose intolerance or a vegan diet.

As these ice creams use natural sweeteners, low-fat milk, and even plant-based chemicals it becomes a perfect choice for customers who prefer a healthy lifestyle along with sweets.

Furthermore, these types of customers who prefer healthy ice creams and desserts are especially those who are smart and prefer quality, and also have knowledge about food production.

However, to capture this type of customer and focus on its growth, the small and the big companies are emphasizing on cleaner labels and signifying no chemical colors or preservatives.

Ice cream flavors like mango, coconut, and cardamom are remade in healthier ways.

Meanwhile, the ice cream market has grown significantly in these past few years. In 2023, the ice cream market was worth around Rs 228.6 billion and is expected to grow even more in the coming years.

Pashmi Shah Agarwal, Co-Founder of Get-A-Way quoted by News18 said that the market will grow around 17.4% per year from 2024 to 2032 and will be worth of Rs 956.0 billion by 2032.

With this increasing craze for healthy ice cream, many companies are now being dedicated to making ice creams with natural, high-quality ingredients that are healthy.
