ICC Womens T20 World Cup: Indian team will start campaign against Pakistan

The Indian cricket team will open its campaign against Pakistan on Sunday in the ongoing ICC Women's T20 World Cup in South Africa. Under the leadership of Harmanpreet Kaur, the Indian team has the experience of Smriti Mandhana and young players like Shafali Verma and Richa Ghosh, who won the country the Under-19 World Cup title, whose confidence is skyrocketing.

On the other hand, Pakistan women's national team captain Bismah Maroof is trying to improve her country's performance in major tournaments and turn around the team's fortunes in the World Cup. Maroof will have high hopes from compatriots Nida Dar and Ayesha Naseem, two of the most explosive cricketers in T20 cricket. The Indian team is drawn in the Group A stage of the tournament along with Pakistan, West Indies, England, Ireland. The Indian team has got a place in Group-B in the Women's T20 World Cup, which includes teams from England, West Indies and Ireland along with Pakistan. The top 2 teams from this group will be able to make it to the semi-finals. The semi-finals of the Women's T20 World Cup will be played on 23 and 24 February. At the same time, the final match of T20 World Cup will be played in Cape Town on 26 February.
