Houses of Three Terrorists Demolished: The houses of three more suspected terrorists were demolished by security personnel in South Kashmir and Bandipora in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 lives.
So far security forces have demolished nine houses, seven in south Kashmir and one each in Bandipora and Kupwara after the attack triggered backlash against the action.
The terrorists whose houses have been demolished so far include Lashkar-e-Taiba's Adil Hussain Thoker, Zakir Ahmad Ganai, Amir Ahmad Dar and Asif Sheikh, Shahid Ahmad Kuttey, Ahsan ul Haq Amir, Jaish-e-Mohammed's Amir Nazeer Wani, Jameel Ahmad Sher Gojri, The Resistance Front's Adnan Safi Dar and Farooq Ahmad Tedwa.

The action comes days after six residences of suspected terrorists were razed by security forces in South Kashmir since April 24. While security forces said the explosions were caused by bombs kept at the houses, relatives of some of the terrorists alleged that the forces planted the explosives.
According to security officials, Ahsan ul Haq "trained in Pakistan" in 2018 and recently "infiltrated" into the Valley; Lashkar commander Shahid Ahmad Kuttay has been involved in many anti-national activities; and Zakir Ahmad Ganie was under surveillance for alleged involvement in multiple terror-related activities. Farooq Ahmad Tedwa, officials said, has been operating from Pakistan. Thoker is suspected to be directly involved in last Tuesday's attack.

Omar Abdullah said that strong action must be taken. “After the Pahalgam terror attack, there must be a decisive fight against terrorism and its origin. People of Kashmir have come out openly against terrorism and the murder of innocent people, they did this freely & spontaneously,” he said in a post on X.
It’s time to build on this support and avoid any misplaced action that alienates people. Punish the guilty, show them no mercy but don’t let innocent people become collateral damage,” he further said.
