Hollywood star Angelina Jolie sold her gift for $11.5 million

The leading lady of Hollywood Angelina Jolie was gifted with an expensive Winston Churchill painting by her estranged husband actor Brad Pitt. After Jolie filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences, on April 12, 2019, the court restored Jolie and Pitt to single status, the former has started to move on after “very tough” four months. In the process of moving on, getting rid of expensive gifts was of them.

According to the reports, the academy winner actor, 45, sold off her Winston Churchill painting for a record-breaking $11.5million early this week.

The 1943 painting by the former UK Prime Minister and statesman, titled ‘Tower of the Koutoubia Mosque’, was bought by Jolie’s estranged ex-husband as a gift for her for $2.95million in 2011 from a New Orleans antique dealer, M.S. Rau. As per an Art Newspaper reports, Jolie sold off the masterpiece to a mystery bidder at Christie’s “Modern British Art Evening Sale” auction in London.
