Hero's welcome To Our Olympic Medal Winners At Indira Gandhi International Airport
At Indira Gandhi International Airport people danced for hours on the beats of Dhols, different Bands, and chanted slogans of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ and ‘Vande Mataram. Athletes were garlanded and one can see people carrying tricolors in their hands all over the area.

New Delhi: Indian Contingent has landed, back from Tokyo, in the National Capital on Monday evening. All the athletes were given Hero’s welcome by their family members, friends and hundreds of supporters at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport. People danced for hours on the beats of Dhols, different Bands, and chanted slogans of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ and ‘Vande Mataram. Athletes were garlanded and one can see people carrying tricolors in their hands all over the area.
There was a huge craze for Gold medal winner Javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra and wrestlers, silver medal winner Ravi Dahiya and Bronze medalist Bajrang Punia. People from villages came to meet and greet their Olympic stars. Bajrang Punia traveled in an open car from Airport to Hotel.
All the athletes were taken to Ashoka Hotel direct from the Airport. Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Anurag Singh Thakur will facilitate Tokyo Olympic medal winners at 7 pm at Ashoka Hotel. This function will be attended by all the athletes who have won medals in Tokyo.
India has won seven medals, including a first-ever Gold medal in Athletics. This is India's best-ever performance in the Olympic Games. India had won six medals in the 2012 London Olympics.

PV Sindhu - Bronze in Women's Singles Badminton
India Men's Hockey team - Bronze
Bajrang Punia - Bronze in Men's 65kg Freestyle Wrestling
