Heavy rain continues to wreak havoc in Uttar Pradesh. Half a dozen districts of the state have been hit by floods. Around 11 people have died in 24 hours in the accidents that took place after the rain. Meanwhile, CM Yogi Adityanath has come into action. He will visit Balrampur, Shravasti, Bahraich today.
Meanwhile, according to information received from the Chief Minister's Office, Yogi Adityanath has expressed deep grief over the death of people in the state due to excessive rain, lightning and other rain-related incidents. He has directed to give immediate assistance to the kin of the deceased. Instructions have been given to deploy teams of NDRF, SDRF and PAC for relief and rescue work in the flood affected areas.
The water level of Rapti river has increased due to heavy rains in Gorakhpur, while the situation is more or less similar in Ayodhya.
