Mandaviya said that India's pharmaceutical industry is strong, resilient and responsive. It is because of their strength that we are not only able to meet our demand during the pandemic, but are also in a position to supply medicines to 150 countries.
Union Health Minister, Mansukh Mandaviya on Thursday held a meeting of representatives of pharma companies to review the availability of essential medicines in the country following the outbreak in neighboring China.Mansukh Mandaviya reviewed the status, adequacy and production capacity of Covid management drugs with representatives of pharma companies through VC (Video Conference) here today, so that India is prepared to effectively deal with any eventuality.
The review meeting was taken in view of the spike in Covid-19 cases in some countries across the world, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said in a statement. The minister was briefed about the changing global scenario. The Health Minister appreciated and congratulated the Pharma companies for their invaluable contribution during the COVID pandemic in the country. Mandaviya said that India's pharmaceutical industry is strong, resilient and responsive.
