HDFC Ltd to donate Rs 40 crore for Covid-19 relief efforts in India
The organisation explained in a statement that the Covid-19 efforts are being carried out through its charitable arm, the HT Parekh Foundation.

HDFC Ltd has contributed an initial sum of Rs 40 crore this year for Covid-19 assistance as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) effort and has agreed to raise this contribution over the next two quarters based on need.
HDFC has planned healthcare efforts to promote long-term health infrastructure across India, it stated, including collaborations with government and nonprofit hospitals.
The organisation explained in a statement that the Covid-19 efforts are being carried out through its charitable arm, the HT Parekh Foundation.
The assistance involves the direct buying and delivery of 80 high-quality ICU ventilators for critical patients in states of Karnataka, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu hospitals. It also plans to build at least ten oxygen enrichment facilities to address medical oxygen needs.
The Chairman of HDFC – Deepak Parekh explained that, the firm provides humanitarian assistance to the most vulnerable populations, such as children, migrants, senior citizens, critically sick patients, and people with disabilities, in addition to our healthcare investments, to guarantee that they are safeguarded.
He said, “It is critical to strike a balance to address the immediate needs for healthcare, longer term needs for supporting livelihoods, and building a more resilient health infrastructure in the country.”
It is great to see firms such as HDFC Ltd who come forth to their nation’s needs and fulfil their social responsibility by remaining committed to India.
