The Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Jairam Thakur, who is currently in Delhi, stated, “We have directed districts to deploy police officers to manage and monitor traffic, as well as to advise people against entering rivers and other bodies of water during heavy rains.”

According to the recent reports, the number of tourist cities, including Shimla, Manali, and Dharamshala, have seen a surge in the number of Shimla tourists. Taking Dharamshala rain situation into serious consideration, the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Jairam Thakur, who is currently in Delhi, stated that “We have directed districts to deploy police officers to manage and monitor traffic, as well as to advise people against entering rivers and other bodies of water during heavy rains.”
COVID protocols are enforced in areas where there are a considerable number of tourists. He added, “We've also requested hotel organisations to have SOPs in place for hotel operations. We want tourists to visit our state, but they must adhere to COVID rules.”
