Gyanvapi Case : Supreme Court will hear today regarding the safety of Shivling
On Thursday, a bench of Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud, Justice Hima Kohli and Justice JB Pardiwala said it would constitute a bench to hear the matter on Friday. On May 17, the Supreme Court by an interim order directed to protect the area where the 'Shivling' was found and provide access to Muslims for prayers.

The Supreme Court will hear the matter of security of Shivling found during the survey in Gyanvapi complex in Varanasi at 3 pm on Friday. Referring to the matter in the court today, Hindu side's lawyer Vishnu Shankar Jain said that the interim order for protection of Shivling expires on November 12.

The hearing of the suit filed by Mukhtar Ahmed Ansari and other four litigants is to be held on Friday in the court of Civil Judge Fast Track Court Senior Division Mahendra Kumar Pandey. Mukhtar Ahmed Ansari, resident of Lohta, Anisur Rehman, resident of Kachibagh and three others had filed suit and made the state government, Anjuman Intejamiya Masajid, DM and Commissioner of Police as parties. It has been requested from the court that the right to offer chadar, read Fatiya and organize annual Urs should not be denied to the three visible tombs and invisible tombs located in the Gyanvapi complex.
