According to the schedule of the Election Commission, the first phase of voting for the Gujarat Assembly elections has started today. People are coming out of their homes to exercise their franchise. BJP candidate Kantilal Amritiya casts his vote at a polling booth in Neelkanth Vidyalaya, Morbi. In Amreli, Congress candidate Paresh Dhanani went out on a bicycle to cast his vote with a cylinder. People arrive at VM Mehta College in Jamnagar to cast their votes in the first phase of assembly elections. BJP's Rivaba Jadeja casts her vote in Rajkot. She is contesting from Jamnagar North. Former Chief Minister of Gujarat and BJP leader Vijay Rupani said that this time BJP will win all the four seats of Rajkot with a huge majority because the BJP candidate has done good campaigning. In the first phase in the state, votes are being cast on 89 assembly seats in 19 districts of the state on December 1. A total of 788 candidates are trying their luck in the first phase. Voting will be held till 5 pm.
