Gujarat Titans Replace Mohammed Shami, MI Recruits U19 World Cup Star Dilshan Madushanka

Fast bowler Sandeep Warrier has been brought in to play for the Gujarat Titans instead of Mohammed Shami for the next season of the Indian Premier League.
With 48 wickets in 33 games, Shami has taken the most for GT. Surgery fixed his hurt heel, and he is now recovering.
A lot of thought went into the choice of Sandeep Warrier as Shami's replacement for IPL 2024. “Gujarat Titans (GT) named Sandeep Warrier as a replacement for Mohammed Shami,” the IPL said in a statement on Wednesday.
From 2019 to 2021, Sandeep Warrier played five IPL games for the Kolkata Knight Riders. The Mumbai Indians picked him up for the IPL 2023, but he didn't play.
Warrier is a fast bowler from Tamil Nadu who throws with his right arm. Throughout five Vijay Hazare Trophy (local one-dayers), he took 11 wickets.
For GT, the best players this season will be Shami and Hardik Pandya, who was their captain. They won the IPL 2022 and came in second last year. Shuben Gill was made captain when Pandya went to the Mumbai Indians. This season is the first time Gill has been in charge of an IPL team.
MI Recruits U19 World Cup Star Dilshan Madushanka
A star in the U19 World Cup, Kwena Maphaka has been signed by Mumbai Indians to take the place of Dilshan Madushanka.
Madushanka was also not allowed to go to the event. Maphaha, who won the U19 World Cup for South Africa, will take his place. Because he is sick, left-arm bowler Kwena Maphaka will not be able to play in the TATA IPL 2024.
He recently played for South Africa in the ICC U19 Men's Cricket World Cup. He will get a starting salary of INR 50 Lacs when he comes to MI, the story says.
That being said, the Mumbai Indians lost another player when Jason Behrendorff got hurt and couldn't play. Also, Sri Lankan fast bowler Dilshan Madushanka was not allowed to play in any way.
The place of Madhushanka has been filled by Kwena Maphaka from South Africa. Last month, Maphaka was named Player of the U19 World Cup. They both sew with their left arm.
