The IMD has said that the rain havoc will subside in the next few days as the deep depression that is lingering over the Saurashtra-Kachchh and north Gujarat regions will shift by Wednesday evening.
On the other hand, to step up the operation of rescue and relief operations in the state, the Gujarat government has demanded six Indian Army columns – one in Dwarka, Anand, Vadodara, Kheda, Morvi and Rajkot.
Also, 14 platoon of NDRF and 22 of SDRF platoon has been earmarked to be provided for the management of disasters.
Earlier on Tuesday, Chief Minister of Gujarat, Bhupendra Patel chaired the meeting with the senior officials participate to assess the situation and the ongoing rescue and relief operations.

"The Chief Minister instructed the District Collectors to take full vigilance and caution by taking the help of the police so that no one goes into the overflowed rivers, drains and lakes as a result of heavy rains.”
“Apart from this, the Meteorological Department has specially urged the District Collectors of the coastal areas to strictly follow the warning to the fishermen not to venture into the sea," the Chief Minister's Office said in a post on X.
Kumar also also got the list of Army, Air Force, NDRF and SDRF personals, who have been engaged in the relief work and disaster management at the local level including rescue operations.
Amit Shah has also talked to Narendra Modi who has also called up Bhupendra Patel over the rain situation in the state and asked specific details of the relief and rescue operations being carried out in Gujarat.
In a post on X, said, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a telephonic conversation with me regarding the heavy rain situation in Gujarat and got detailed details of the relief and rescue operations. He provided guidance on protection of lives and livestock of citizens.”
“Also, Gujarat was assured of providing all necessary support and assistance from the Central Government. Hon'ble Prime Minister is constantly monitoring the situation by worrying about Gujarat. He has a deep affection in his heart for the people of Gujarat.”

From Monday at least 15 people have been reported dead from rain-related disasters.
From the information received from the Gujarat government, one person was killed in Morbi, Vadodara district, Kheda, Bharuch and Ahmedabad. While two people died in the Gandhinagar and Mahisagar districts and six people died in Anand.
On Tuesday itself, the affected population shifted to 12453 of which 8361 were from Vadodara and 4000 from Panchmahals, which are the most affected states.

The displaced persons have been taken to safer areas and amount to 23870 while 1696 have been rescued. The migrations recorded in the past two days are 1200 in Navsari, 800 in Valsad, 200 in Bharuch, 235 in Kheda and 200 in Botad.
Amid the affected several pregnant women which were 75, 45 of which were in Vadodara that was moved to the nearest health facilities and 30 in Devbhumi Dwarka district.
Amid the continuous rain in Gujarat it has been observed that many rivers in the state are on the brink of crossing the danger mark.
In the state’s Bharuch district many areas are flooded along the Narmada river after rising above the danger 24ft mark at Golden Bridge because of unending water inflows from the Narmada dam in the neighboring Madhya Pradesh state.
Also, over 3,000 people of Vadodara district who were affected by flooding from the Vishwamitri River were relocated to higher grounds as the river water level reached 25 feet at Tuesday morning.
