Group Captain Varun, who survived the accident, is on life support; Air ambulance will be shifted to Bangalore

The last rites of Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat and his wife Madhulika, who were killed in a helicopter crash in Tamil Nadu, will take place on Friday. The bodies of Rawat, Madhulika and all the other dead have been brought to the Madras Regiment Centre. From here the mortal remains of Rawat and Madhulika will be brought to Delhi.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh gave a statement on the accident in Parliament today. He paid tribute to everyone and told that Group Captain Varun Singh, the lone survivor of the accident, has been admitted to the Military Hospital in Wellington. He is on life support and efforts are on to save him. According to reports, Varun Singh will be shifted by air ambulance to Bangalore.

The mortal remains of General Bipin Rawat will reach his Delhi home today. People will be able to pay their last respects at Rawat's Delhi home between 11 am and 2 pm on Friday. After this the funeral procession will be taken out from Kamaraj Marg to Berar intersection. The last rites will be held in Delhi Cantonment.
