Grenade attack by terrorists at two places in Kashmir on Independence Day, one soldier and civilian injured
The terrorists had opened fire on the Police Naka party near GD Goenka School in Lal Bazar area. In the attack, ASI Mushtaq Ahmed was killed on the spot, while a head constable and a constable Abu Bakr were injured.
A policeman and a civilian were injured in two separate grenade attacks in Kashmir on Independence Day. Police said the area has been cordoned off and a search operation is on to nab the attackers. In the first incident, terrorists hurled a grenade in Chadoora area of Budgam district, injuring a civilian. The injured civilian has been identified as Karan Kumar Singh. Police said that his condition is stated to be stable.
In another attack, grenades were hurled outside the police control room in Srinagar. A policeman was injured in the incident. There have been a series of attacks in Kashmir in the last three days. Two policemen were killed in two separate attacks yesterday. Earlier on Saturday also the CRPF camp in Srinagar was targeted by terrorists. The terrorists attacked the camp with a grenade. In which a young man was seriously injured. Since the incident, the local police and CRPF are conducting an intensive investigation operation in the area to nab the terrorists.
A migrant worker was killed and another was injured in a terrorist attack in Budgam. In recent times, many terrorist incidents have happened in Jammu and Kashmir. A policeman was killed while two others were injured in a terrorist attack in Lalbazar area of Srinagar city.
