A bench headed by Justice SK Kaul of the Supreme Court said that the country is a country of diversities and it is great in itself. There are different beliefs and opinions in this country. Political views also differ. This is the hallmark of our democracy. The Supreme Court said that state force should never be used to suppress a political or journalist's opinion. It also does not mean that they have got an opportunity to speak anything that will create trouble in the society.
The Supreme Court also said that we also want to add that journalists also have the responsibility of how to report a case, especially when this is the era of Twitter, in such a situation they should be more responsible. Senior advocate Siddharth Dave, appearing for West Bengal in the Supreme Court, said that the West Bengal government has decided to withdraw the case registered against the editor of an English-language news portal. Along with this, it has been decided to withdraw the case registered against YouTuber.
